Cognitivism
Presentation
In this project, my group researched the Theory of
Cognitivism and gave a presentation on our findings.
I feel like this project relates to NETS-T 5.4
because we used technology to present old information in
a new way. This digital presentation of the information
allowed for our group to present the information to a
larger audience. And since it was created digitally, we
can now use that same file, with a little reformatting,
place it on the internet where it is much more
accessible.
Inspiration
Map
In this project, my group instructed the class on
how to use the Inspiration application, which is a
concept mapping tool. For further practice and
assessment, each person created a concept map of their
digital portfolios.
I feel like this project relates to NETS-T 3.3
because the application allows people to create concept
maps that are not only visually exciting but also
interactive. Students have more options in creating
concept maps that express their creativity and allow them
to think more critically about what they are mapping.
Research
Database
In this project, I created a database that served an
educational purpose. I chose to create a database of
research sources and information that I was using in a
research paper for another class.
I feel like this project relates to NETS-T 5.1
because I used technology to help me organized and
document the sources of my information for a research
paper. I feel like this project also relates to NETS-T 5.3
because it allowed me to be more productive by cutting
out time otherwise spent searching for specific quotes,
key words, and other information.
Opinion-Proof
Charts
In this project, I created a movie of me discussing
the concept of Opinion-Proof Charts.
I feel like this project relates to NETS-T 3.2
because I use video and digital technology to discuss a
learning strategy that will help some students learn more
effeciently and effectivley. Also, since each member of
the class discussed a different strategy, there are a
variety of strategies that can be presented to students.
